Pals4Me Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ForMe Concepts LLC (“ForMe Concepts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use Pals4Me. Pals4Me is a service operated by ForMe Concepts LLC.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

We may collect information used to create and maintain your account, such as your name, email address, login credentials, ZIP code, and date of birth. We collect date of birth to determine age eligibility. Your full date of birth is not displayed to other users.

Profile Information

We may collect profile information you provide, such as photos, biography, interests, activity preferences, and other details you choose to share. Information included in your profile may be visible to other Pals4Me users.

Location Information

Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, we may process approximate or precise location information. Location may be used to support matching, nearby activities, venue suggestions, distance information, and arrival-related functionality. You can control device location permissions through your operating-system settings, although some features may not work without the location information they require.

Activity and Match Information

We collect information about activities you create, select, join, or decline, as well as matches, group participation, meetup details, preferences, and related interactions needed to provide the service.

Messages

We process messages and other communications sent through Pals4Me to provide chat and related features. Messages may be reviewed where reasonably necessary to investigate safety concerns, abuse, reports, technical problems, or legal obligations.

Reports, Blocks, and Safety Information

We store reports, blocks, moderation decisions, and related safety information. This may include information supplied by reporting and reported users and records needed to investigate conduct, enforce our rules, prevent abuse, and protect the community.

Device and Technical Information

We may collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, device identifiers, crash information, diagnostic data, and server or application logs.

Usage Information

We may collect information about how you use Pals4Me, including features viewed or used, actions taken, session information, and interactions with notifications and service communications.

Website and Beta Acquisition Analytics

When you visit the ForMe Concepts website or the Pals4Me product page, we may collect information such as pages viewed, beta call-to-action and platform-link interactions, browser and device information, IP address, referral source, landing path, and campaign parameters included in a link. We use PostHog to process this information and measure website traffic and beta acquisition. PostHog may use first-party cookies or similar browser storage to distinguish visits.

We do not send waitlist email addresses, names, full ZIP codes, or form contents to PostHog. We do not use PostHog for behavioral advertising, cross-site advertising, or browser fingerprinting.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• create, maintain, and secure accounts;
• provide profiles, activities, matching, messaging, venue, distance, and arrival-related functionality;
• personalize and improve the service;
• communicate about Pals4Me, including support and beta access;
• measure website traffic, referral and campaign performance, beta interest, and conversion;
• understand which devices and beta platforms visitors use;
• improve the ForMe Concepts website and Pals4Me;
• investigate reports, enforce our rules, and prevent fraud, abuse, and unsafe conduct;
• diagnose technical problems and maintain reliability; and
• comply with legal obligations and protect rights and safety.

3. Matching and Recommendations

We may use profile information, activity preferences, availability, location or distance, prior interactions, and other relevant information to suggest people, activities, groups, or venues. Recommendations are not guarantees of compatibility, identity, availability, or safety.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information:

• with other users when you make profile, activity, group, meetup, or message information visible to them;
• with service providers that process information on our behalf to provide hosting, communications, mapping, venue data, diagnostics, support, security, and similar functions;
• with Loops to manage website beta-waitlist submissions and communications;
• with PostHog to measure website traffic, referral sources, beta acquisition, and conversion;
• when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
• when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce our rules, investigate abuse, or defend legal rights; and
• in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate protections.

Service providers may process information only for the services they provide to us and under applicable contractual and legal obligations.

5. Sale of Personal Information

ForMe Concepts does not currently sell personal information for monetary consideration.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Pals4Me, maintain accounts, comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect users and the service. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it is processed.

7. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Pals4Me account through available account controls or by contacting us. Deleting an account removes or de-identifies information as appropriate, but we may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, moderation, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

8. Location Controls

You can manage location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location access may prevent matching, nearby activity, venue, distance, arrival, or other location-dependent features from working. Your device may also allow you to choose between approximate and precise location access.

9. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we may send alerts about matches, messages, activities, meetups, account updates, or service information. You can control push notifications through Pals4Me or your device settings.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also update profile information and device permissions through the app and device settings. Contact us to make a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

12. Children and Minors

Pals4Me is for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit people under 18 to create accounts. If you believe a minor has provided personal information through Pals4Me, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. Third-Party Services

Pals4Me may link to or use third-party services, including mapping, venue, communications, and infrastructure providers. Their handling of information may be governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

14. International Use

Pals4Me is operated from the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Pals4Me changes or as required by law. We will post the updated policy and revise the effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice.
